IEP students may apply to TCU undergraduate programs through TCU International Admissions. Undergraduate degree programs offer conditional admission. If you meet all of the admission requirements except the TOEFL requirement, you will be admitted first to the IEP. TCU will issue you a 5-year I20: one year for your IEP studies, and four years to complete your undergraduate degree.
IEP students may apply to TCU graduate programs through the department in which that program is housed. Some graduate programs may admit you conditionally through the IEP. See individual programs for their admission guidelines and requirements. For help contacting a graduate program, contact iep@tcu.edu.
Students who reach an Advanced level in the IEP will not need a TOEFL score to begin their TCU Degree Program.
Students who take the TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or PTE and are then accepted into any US university will have their TOEFL fee of up to $150 refunded to them by the IEP.
If a TCU school or department awards you a scholarship for IEP studies, the IEP will match that scholarship.
TCU awards you 12 hours of undergraduate degree credits for your first-language abilities. These 12 free credits make up approximately 10 % of the total number of credits for most TCU undergraduate degrees. You are awarded the credits for your successful completion of one academic year of high school or in another college where the language of instruction is other than English.
